Lakmal Ratnayake

Founder

The Chambers are led by Mr. Lakmal Ratnayake an Attorney-at-Law, with over 22 years of continuous Legal practice having represented individuals, directors and entities across all levels of courts and provides strategic approach in complex litigation and advisory matters.

Mr Ratnayake held the office of Chairman of the Jaya Container Terminals Limited which is a fully owned subsidiary of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Co-operative Wholesale Establishment (C.W.E.), Sri Lanka Port Management & Consultancy Services (Private) Limited and National Institute of Co-operative Development.

He also held office as a Director of Sri Lankan Airlines Limited, Sri Lanka Ports Authority and held office as a Board Member of Hambantota International Port Services Company (Private) Limited, Lanka Coal Company (Private) Limited, Colombo International Container Terminals Limited and Hambantota International Port Group (Private) Limited.

Mr Ratnayake represented Sri Lanka at the International Cooperative Alliance General Assemblies held in Cancun Mexico, Manchester United Kingdom and Cape town South Africa in years of 2011, 2012 and 2013 and also represented the country at the International Cooperative Alliance Conference held in Quebec, Canada in 2014.

Vivendra Ratnayake

Vivendra Ratnayake is an Attorney-at-Law with a strong academic foundation and an emerging multidisciplinary practice.

He holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of London and an Advanced Diploma in Transitional Justice.

He is currently reading for his Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Colombo and is simultaneously pursuing a Diploma in Forensic Medicine.

Avinda Silva

Avinda Silva is an Attorney-at-Law with solid experience in civil litigation and corporate legal practice.

He holds an LLB (Hons) from Staffordshire University, UK.

Harshana Jayaratne

Harshana Jayaratne is an Attorney-at-Law, Notary Public, Commissioner for Oaths, and Registered Company Secretary with a broad professional background spanning the legal, corporate, and marketing sectors.

He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM – UK) and holds an HDIT qualification from UCSC.

Harshana is currently reading for his LLM at the University of Colombo, enhancing his academic and professional strengths.

Hasala Gunathilake

Hasala Gunathilake is an Attorney-at-Law with a diverse academic and professional background.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying, equipping him with strong technical and analytical skills that complement his legal practice.

Nidumi Wijerathne

Nidumi Wijerathne is an Attorney-at-Law with an exceptional academic record and substantial experience in legal education.

She is a past pupil of St. Bridget’s Convent, Colombo 07, and graduated with First Class Honours in Law from the University of London while receiving a Certificate of Achievement in Criminology.

She holds both an LLM and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Human Rights Law from the United Kingdom.

Nidumi serves as a Visiting Lecturer at CFPS Law School for University of London programmes and previously functioned as the Programme Lead for the Oxford Brookes University LLB at BCAS Campus.

Damian Ashan Weerasinhe

Damian Ashan Weerasinhe is an Attorney-at-Law and a recent addition to the Chambers.

He holds an LLB (Hons), UK, and was called to the Bar in 2025.

Meshika Ekanayake

Meshika Ekanayake is an Attorney-at-Law and Notary Public holding an LLB (UK).

She is extensively engaged in notarial practice, with a focus on property conveyancing, title documentation and Condominium transactions.
